Mississippi Select Sports Activities Director Clay Richey now expects league play to begin in January rather than December.  "We have several of our divisions that have not filled yet, so we are not going to start the 'league schedule' until they are," he said. 

"Our entered teams will simply play in our tournament events until January.  It's not a major adjustment, but it is one we thought we should announce," Richey added. 

NEMBBL teams will be in their first action in this weekend's Myrtle Turkey Tournament at Myrtle High School Saturday.
